I positioned the VHF aerial on the port stanchion, drilled a hole on the outer upper forward stanchion leg, ran the aerial wire down the internal stanchion leg and though a hole I drilled directly underneath the stanchion leg.
I did not want these holes to be to large in there diameter so I cut the aerial male fitting off and refitted it once the wire was threaded inside the boat with a crimping tool that I borrowed. I also drilled a 2mm diameter hole at the base of the stanchion leg to allow for any water drainage.

Depth Sounder Mechanism
\r\n\r\n\r\n
[singlepic id=205 w=320 h=240 float=left]
A lowering/lifting system was constructed onto the transom boarding ladder for the depth, speed, temp sounder.
This consists of a 10x10mm stainless steel hollow square section with a s/s round rod fitted inside. This was filed a little to help it fit. A system was made up to prevent the round rod turning . The operation of it is very simple and effective.
The impulse wire leading back to the unit from the sounder needs to be keep 300mm clear of other electrical cables as it is not a shielded cable and can be affected by matching impedance from other electrical cables.
This is worth a mention to apply the correct method. My friend fitted the new hull stripes as this was his occupation.
I removed the old stripes and cleaned the hull area with prepsil cleaner. He stuck 25mm of the new stripe onto the rear of the yacht, walked forward the full length of the yacht while peeling the adhesive backing off the new stripe. Next he held the end of the stripe at the front of the yacht, about two meters out from the bow.
With my guidance he moved the stripe onto the hull and off also as required to align the new stripes over the old markings. By following the above method the stripes are applied straight [ eg not wandering up/down ] to the hull. Also do not apply tension or stretch the new stripe as it is applied.
This rubber wheel is a 70 degree trailer vee roller which works really well for moving the mast and supporting it as well.
